St Leonard’s College is an open-entry, co-educational College offering outstanding education opportunities from Early Learning to Year 12.

The College offers both the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP).

Position Purpose

This role is for a creative and energetic teacher of English, to teach a variety of classes from years 5 to 12.

Experience in teaching IBDP Language and Literature would be highly regarded.

Early career teachers will be considered.

Position Status

This is a fixed-term full-time position, commencing at the start of the 2025 school year, 24 January 2025, the new staff induction day, and ending on 9 December 2025. This role is covering a staff member on leave.

Full time teaching staff are expected to undertake a mentor role which, depending on the year level, attracts an allowance.

An employee Working with Children Check (WWCC) or Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration is required to be undertaken by any persons working in the field of education who may come into contact with children without direct supervision. The WWCC is valid for a five (5) year period and the VIT for one year.
    3. The successful applicant will be required to produce original copies (from which a photocopy will be made) of transcripts of qualifications claimed.
    4.
