163 South is an empowering literary initiative designed primarily for students in Year 10 and above, with invitations extended to other interested individuals based on their applications.”
During the workshop sessions, conducted weekly during lunchtimes, students are immersed in a unique and student-led literary journal experience. Diverse voices are welcomed and celebrated, encouraging the publication of short fiction, poetry, essays, articles, and even showcasing art and photography.
Participation in 163 South extends far beyond the pages of a journal. Engaging with this literary endeavour fosters self-reliance, and practical problem-solving skills and sparks the flame of creativity within each student.
Beyond mere contributors, students have the invaluable opportunity to step into the roles of journalists and editors, refining their editorial skills and shaping the narrative of their literary community.
