Our St Leonard’s College sailing program, spanning Years 7 to 12, provides boundless opportunities for personal growth and achievement, cultivating skills and fostering camaraderie.”
Sailing is a unique opportunity to embark on a thrilling adventure that creates memories to last a lifetime. Our students gather weekly at the Sandringham Yacht Club during terms 1 and 4 to learn the art of sailing or hone their skills for upcoming competitions.
We take pride in our participation in the Girlsail competition, where, in 2023, our talented sailors clinched the title of equal 1st place, securing an impressive 2nd on countback. This achievement represents the best result our College has seen in this event, showcasing the prowess and dedication of our students.
Sailing is more than just a sport – it’s an opportunity to explore new horizons. The sailing program at St Leonard’s College provides the chance for students to unwind, connect with nature, and experience a sense of freedom on the open waters. Beyond the thrill of the sea breeze, sailing contributes to improved balance, coordination, and offers an excellent form of exercise, ensuring the holistic development of our students.
