Chamber music and small ensembles offer an enriching extension activity for our seasoned music students spanning Years 3 to 12, allowing them to develop a heightened level of musical refinement.”
Chamber music is the art of each instrumental part being performed by an individual musician. Serving as a fundamental part of our exceptional St Leonard’s College music program, it spans a diverse array of instruments.
This cocurricular program provides our more experienced music students with the opportunity to work together in small groups cultivating their interpretive and communication skills.
The result is an ensemble of highly refined musicians who learn the art of playing harmoniously, both in tune and in spirit.
Our chamber music and small ensembles encompass a variety of octets, trios, and quartets spanning instruments such as piano, cello, clarinet, saxophone, flute, strings and brass.
