Intellectual curiosity thrives at St Leonard’s College. We take pride in our students’ participation in the da Vinci Decathlon, an academic competition for students in Years 7 to 10.”
The da Vinci Decathlon engages participants in a challenging intellectual journey, stimulating young minds and fostering teamwork. Whether it’s before school, during lunchtime, or after school, our dedicated teams convene to prepare for the competition. Meeting times vary based on the chosen disciplines and take place during term 1 and term 2.
The da Vinci Decathlon is not just a competition; it’s an opportunity for students to push their boundaries and showcase their prowess in 10 diverse disciplines. From engineering and mathematics to code breaking, art and poetry, science, English, ideation, creative producers, cartography, and general knowledge, participants immerse themselves in a day of intellectually stimulating challenges.
Structured in teams of 8, students collaborate to navigate three rounds of rigorous challenges, testing their creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Beyond the competition, the da Vinci Decathlon cultivates a passion for learning, teamwork, and academic achievement that extends far beyond the confines of the event.
