St Leonard's College | Independent School Melbourne

The St Leonard’s College Student Social Action Council is a select group of students, spanning Years 4 to 12, committed to fostering responsible global citizenship and making a meaningful impact.”
Our Social Action Council has proven they are adept at orchestrating a whole school response to a global crisis, showcasing their commitment to positive change. They have also raised a substantial amount of funds to address urgent needs and played a crucial role in assisting peers in their pitches to The Amiel Society Board.
At St Leonard’s College, we believe in an education for life, and the Social Action Council embodies this philosophy. Participants develop resilience, negotiating skills, and a deep understanding of respectful discussions. As responsible global citizens, they work collaboratively, applying critical thinking to address global needs. Moreover, these students serve as compassionate leaders, supporting their peers in various social justice pursuits and contributing to a community of effective, empathetic change-makers.
Through the Social Action Council, students not only learn about leadership but actively practise it, creating a positive impact on both our local and global communities.
