Our Senior School Hike is an exhilarating opportunity for students in Years 10 to 12 to embark on an unforgettable journey into the heart of nature.”
Typically scheduled during the first week of December holidays, this bushwalking camp extends and enhances the skills and knowledge acquired through our core Outdoor Education (OED) program.
The Senior School Hike is not just a walk in the woods –  it’s a transformative experience that takes our students on a 5 to 8-day exploration of some of the most stunning and remote wilderness areas within our national parks. As they traverse diverse environments, students not only sharpen their outdoor survival skills but also deepen their connection with the natural world.
This immersive experience goes beyond the classroom, fostering teamwork, resilience, and a sense of adventure that serves our students well in their academic and personal journeys.
Led by experienced and knowledgeable guides, the Senior School Hike is designed to challenge and inspire, providing a unique opportunity for personal growth and camaraderie.
At St Leonard’s College, we believe in the power of experiential learning, and our Senior School Hike is a testament to that commitment. This camp is an incredible adventure, where education and exploration go hand in hand, and where memories are made that last a lifetime. This camp enriches our students’ academic experience as they discover the wonders of the great outdoors.
