“ Welcome to the premier aquatic destination for swimming excellence – St Leonard’s College Swimming Club in the heart of Bayside’s Brighton East.”
Our recently renovated state-of-the-art aquatic facilities offer an indoor heated pool that serves the local Bayside community.
St Leonard’s College offers an exceptional range of opportunities for young people with experienced and friendly instructors guiding your child through their swimming and water safety journey. Lessons start from those who are hesitant to enter the water and progresses all the way to squad level.
Our program emphasises a holistic approach by developing a child’s confidence, expanding their skills and encouraging them to succeed. Our objectives are achieved through our proficient team of individuals that undertake expert qualified training programs.
At St Leonard’s College Swimming Club, we are committed to nurturing a love for swimming at every age and skill level. Our comprehensive programs cater to the diverse needs of our community, offering swimming lessons in Bayside’s South Road, Brighton East, from beginners to advanced levels. For students aspiring to take their skills to the next level, our competitive swimming programs provide a platform to excel.
We offer an industry recognised program developed by Royal Life Saving. Swim and Survive is a comprehensive swimming and water safety initiative of Royal Life Saving that seeks to increase the swimming and water safety skills of all Australian children in order to prevent drowning and increase participation in safe aquatic activity.

Fitness and Competition
Club members have many opportunities to represent St Leonard’s College Swimming Club in Swimming Victoria sanctioned meets, squad training and competitions. The opportunitities are open to those who commit themselves to competitive swim training on a regular basis. St Leonard’s College Swimming Club is affiliated with Swimming Victoria and recognised by Swimming Australia. As a result, members will compete and represent St Leonard’s College Swimming Club at local, state, and national meets. Whilst the key benefits of membership relate to the development of our swimmers and their competition performance, other benefits also exist for younger swimmers and family members including access to special events, and invitations to encouragement meets.
The Squad Training and Competitions Program aims to develop a swimmer from the ‘learn to swim’ stage into a competitive swimmer. Swimmers are invited to compete at individual, relay and team-based competitions representing the St Leonard’s College Swimming Club. Swimmers from the beginner competitor level through to those competing in the Club and Age National Championships are welcome.
There are different requirements for swimmers to participate in the squads available and will determined by the Head Coach and Coordinator of Swimming. Squad times and availability will be dependent on coach and lane availability.
Payment for each quarter across the year is required prior to attending sessions.
